After a successful career in investment banking, Brad Young decided to pursue a lifelong passion of his by entering the hospitality industry in 1998. At this time, he also began his long-term association with Billy Dec, his current and ongoing business partner. Their first endeavor together was the opening of Circus, a 17,000 square foot nightclub that completely revolutionized nightlife in Chicago with thrilling circus-inspired acts as live entertainment and additional “clubs within a club,” Skylight and The Bedroom. After three years, Dec and Young sold the business and started Rockit Ranch Productions in 2002. Under Young’s leadership, the successful group opened six venues in 10 years and continues to expand.

Rockit Bar & Grill arrived in River North in June, 2004, pioneering the transformation of the neighborhood into a hospitality / cultural mecca. The Underground, Chicago’s hottest nightclub since 2006, is currently undergoing a renovation that will elevate its level of entertainment even further. Sunda’s contemporary Asian fare has earned countless accolades, including Michelin Guide recommendations. Rockit Burger Bar, named “Best Burger Joint” in a 2012 Time Out poll, has become a North side destination for innovative burgers. Dragon Ranch Moonshine & BBQ has received critical acclaim for its All-American BBQ with a hint of Asian influence, and its stellar moonshine program. ¡AY CHIWOWA!, Rockit Ranch’s newest venue, promises to offer a “fiesta,” with an expansive tequila portfolio, classic Mexican street fare and – most importantly – a party until 4 a.m.
